A foggy beach

A couple of years ago, me and a couple of friends went up really early in the morning with hopes to catch the sunrise with our cameras. It turned out to be one of the foggiest mornings I’ve ever experienced. So not much sunrise there.

But I think it was all good. Fog, in my opinion, is a far better friend for the photographer.

This picture was taken at Hornstulls beach in Stockholm at that morning.

Photowalk Norrköping

Yesterday there was a photo walk in the town of Norrköping in Sweden. It was a bunch of photographers from Google+ that once again gathered for some clicking. Earlier, almost the same gang has had photo walks in Nyköping and Stockholm. This time it was Norrköpings turn.

I have only been in Norrköping once before, a far as I can remember. Usually I have just been driving by the city on my way south in Sweden. And from a distance, it hasn’t really looked like much. But I was wrong.

Norrköping is a beautiful city, with a whole area of old houses surrounded with streams of water, bridges, and town squares. A lot of pictures was taken that day by all of us.

In this post I give you a picture of a bicycle that someone had thrown into the water.

By the pier

This is one evening in March near Slussen (The Sluice) in Stockholm. It is taken with ISO 6400. Converted to black & white in Silver Efex.

Leaving the Harbor

I took this one in the beginning of December 2012. I had a lunch meeting to go to, but as usual I was a bit early to that appointment. So I thought I would walk around and take some photos. It was one of those really cold days this winter. I walked from Stockholm’s Old Town and up on Katarinavägen when I saw this view. I took the picture with my Nikon Coolpix P7000 that I had brought with me.

Editing as usual made in Photoshop and Lightroom, with some adjustments in Nik Software plugins, blended together.

Ferry to Djurgården

This picture was taken during a very cold day in Stockholm. The temperature drop was a bit sudden, and there was still no ice on the water. Probably because the water was so much warmer than the air, there was this smoke on the surface of the water. The boat is a ferry that travels from old town in Stockholm to Djurgården, where in summer time, there is among other things, a big amusement park.

I have used different plugins from Nik Software for the processing, together with Photoshop and Lightroom.
